Stop Hunger now

St. John's makes a hands-on impact on world hunger by hosting multiple "meal packing events" through the international organization, Stop Hunger Now. Parishioners of all ages bring their friends and family and turn our fellowship hall into a hunger-fighting assembly line. 40 to 50 volunteers help to package dehydrated meals of soy, rice, vegetables and needed vitamins and minerals that are shipped to school feeding programs in developing countries around the world. We don't do this every year, but when we do, we usually package 10,000 meals and learn more about sustainable food practices. Learn more about Stop Hunger Now.
