communications and evangelism committee

You might ask why we have combined communications and evangelism. The reason is, evangelism is telling our faith story in a way that reaches people in their own language, whether that be through a web site, a Facebook page, or a heartfelt testimonial in a public venue or even at dinner.

St. John's Communications Committee explores both high tech and low tech ways of telling our story to people already in our church family and to people we would like to bring into God's fold. Current vehicles include this web site, our Facebook page, This Week at St. John's (our weekly e-bulletin) and The Messenger, our monthly newsletter. We have also begun reaching out at public venues such as Little Silver Day.

If you have communication skills (writing, photography, video, graphic design, or technical skills), a faith story to share, or ideas for telling our story in the world outside of our Church Family, consider sharing your gifts with us.

To learn more or to get involved, contact Mother Val at the church office at 732-741-7826 or stjohnslittlesilver@verizon.net. Or speak to Mother Val, Deacon Eve, Eileen Kennedy or Mike Redpath any Sunday during coffee hour.
