Creating Inclusive Communities

Romans 15:7:
“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.”

Dear Church Family,
We recognize that some parents face challenges in bringing their autistic or children with additional needs to church. We understand that the church environment can often feel overwhelming, from sensory overload to navigating social interactions. As a result, many parents may feel discouraged from attending services.

We want you to know that we see you, we value you, and we are committed to creating a more welcoming and supportive space for everyone.

To foster inclusivity, we are planning to implement several changes, including:

  • Providing fidget toys and noise-canceling headphones for those who need them.

  • Offering sensory-friendly activities during services.

  • Establishing an open line of communication to better understand and assist with the unique needs of every family and individual.

Our goal is to ensure that every child and family feels welcome and valued in our church community. Together, we can make a difference and reflect God’s love for everyone. Please click here for our inclusivity flyer.

Blessings,
