The reverend eve chamberlain, deacon

Born and raised an Episcopalian, Eve had membership in more than 10 Episcopal churches before moving to Rumson, NJ in 1993.  Active participation at St George’s by the River led her to explore deeper involvement in the ministries of the church. There she woke to a passion for social justice concerns and ordained ministry. That combination led her to explore the Diaconate. Eve was ordained as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church in May of 2015. She subsequently began serving at St John’s Church in Little Silver.

Her secular life is occupied with a full time job at the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority in Newark, NJ. She is a project manager in the Capital Programming Department working with federally funded transportation projects large and small.

Eve has three adult children: a son in Dover, DE, a daughter in Philadelphia, PA and a daughter in Nashville, TN. She will happily let you know of their adventures if you ask!
