Adult Christian Education

Adult forum

Join your fellow parishioners and clergy in an informal setting to explore various aspects of your faith journey. Typically, the group quickly reaches consensus on a topic at the beginning of each gathering. They then explore following Christ in today's world. Activities have included more in-depth study of the Scripture readings of the day, discussions of approaches to prayer, practice of lectio divina, and trying to make sense of current events. The group meets on Sunday mornings following the 10:00 a.m. Mass after stopping off at coffee hour to grab a snack to go.

reflections at the rectory

Reflections at the Rectory explores ways of being Christian today through a thought-provoking series of short films presented through the platform The Work of the People (www.theworkofthepeople.com). If you can’t make the meeting but want to follow along, or if you do make the meetings and want to watch the films a second time, you can access them by clicking on the title of your choice below and stream them on your device.

A New Place to Be: Spiritual Birth & Renewal

"From comfort, darkness, warmth, to exposure, bright lights, and cold air, birth is always a transition from one place to the next. These transitions mean an opportunity for continued life, growth, and possibilities. However, there are times when change does not take place, as it should. Some of us become stuck in cycles, habits, and even addictions that occur as a result of transitions that become trauma. This series of videos invites you into a better, newer place. One where change is happening and comes through an engagement with the Liberator of the world. These thinkers and theologians, authors and storytellers, will stir our imagination so we might capture a glimpse of a dream that is yet to come and at the same time being fulfilled before our very eyes. They will share what has happened in their own lives and how we might join with them in this journey. "
