Martha's cupboard

In 2016, St. John's joined with two other nearby parishes--Christ Church (Shrewsbury) and St. James' Church (Asbury Park)--to share our time and talent with a senior community in nearby Long Branch. Overseen by our Deacons, this is a pilot program in the Diocese of New Jersey to encourage smaller parishes to collaborate on outreach they might not manage on their own. Volunteers from each of the three parishes go to Washington Manor in Long Branch to give free art lessons, a food pantry, music programs, health awareness programs, and fellowship on Thursday afternoons. New ideas are always welcome.

To learn more or to get involved, contact Mother Val at the church office at 732-741-7826 or stjohnslittlesilver@verizon.net; or speak to Mother Val, Deacon Eve, or any member of the Vestry on Sunday during coffee hour.
